It’s not you
It’s the work you do that is great
It’s not your arguments
It’s the arguments themselves that are great
It’s objective of you
You’re not the only one capable of it
So it supersedes you
The act is great objectively
Not you subjectively
If it’s something only capable of you
Then hold it as a subjective and personal
But if it’s objective and universal
Act as such and praise it rather than yourself
You are not great
What you did is great
Congrats for doing it
But remember what’s real
But still consider it a success if it is
Just don’t inflate yourself for something objective
Something that is bigger than you
Right?
Celebrate your achievement
Not you for being you
Even though being you is what led to the achievement
But it’s not so much of being you as it is what you did
What you did matters much more than who you are
But who you are also somewhat defines what you do
But what you did is wider
Who you are defines a set of principles that define the scope of what you do
And in the end it’s what you do that brings great achievements (if it does)
This does not make the principles great
Maybe just “in the right direction” or “capable of leading to the right actions”
So it doesn’t make you great in a sense
The achievement itself is what is great
Not you
But you are the one who achieved it
Which is in its own way a sort of second prize
Which is why you should still feel good or content about it
But you should never take the greatness of the achievement for yourself
You’re shadowed by it
Achievements make you
Not you make the achievements
The achievements are great because of you
You become great because of your achievements
Is it wrong to consider yourself great even if you’ve achieved a bountiful of great successes?
For a reason it feels so
Because it wasn’t you being you that brought the success
It was all the hard work, discipline, sweat and hours you put in that achieved the success
Objective of you
But you were still the one who did all of that to achieve it
So there is still something due for you, no?
And that is the achievement being made real from dreams
That’s all you get
You aren’t great
But you can achieve great things
Or maybe there is some other humble reward
Who knows
Take away message
You ain’t shit
The objective achievement is
Or maybe you are
§
Most people think they think
But it’s their emotions and subconscious who give them their thoughts
We people are a simple bunch of animals who believe we can think
When the truth is we’re emotional beings
No wrong to it though
Humans as rational beings couldn’t be farther from the truth
§
Live how you want to
Not how others want you to
I don’t get the logic in wanting to control how someone lives
If there’s no influence on your life
Why the hell do you care?
Why do you want everyone to be like you?
To follow you?
Why do you think everyone should want to be like you?
You and your ideals probably aren’t shit
Your family is probably shit as well
Grow the fuck up
And I’m not talking about anyone specifically
This is in regard to the general public
Maybe it’s just evolutionary to want everyone on your side
Followers and leaders whatnot
You only follow those you acknowledge
And you want those you don’t acknowledge to follow you, maybe?
And it’s not to say that you don’t care about the person by not wanting to control how they live
It’s simply respecting the life and decisions they want
You could show you care by supporting them, advising them, being there for them, and maybe listening every now and then
But for crying out loud, if that’s what they truly want in life, respect it by not trying to make them do what you want and fuck off and let them do them
This especially goes to judgemental fucks
Who look down on those who do and are different than them
The minds of most, I do not want around
